Poker is a card game played between two or more players. It may be played in any number of ways, but the object of the game is always to win the pot (the total amount of bets placed in a hand). A poker game can be played with any number of players, although the ideal number is six or more. In a game with multiple players, it is common for one or more of the players to bet large amounts of money during the course of a hand. These bets can cause the pot to grow quickly.<\/p>\n
